Rate Calculation Explanation
Rates are calculated on water consumption. There is a base rate of $28.25 which is applied to the debt in which the Authority has incurred for the construction, conveyance, and collection system of the treatment plant.
This fee is applied to every property that is tapped into sewage even if there is no one living there or water is turned off.
In addition to the debt service fee, the consumption is calculated by $6.25 per 1000 gallons of water used. We obtain this water reading from the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC). Well Water and non-metered customers are billed at the average rate of $47.00.
